Announcing my very own course: "Reverse Engineer iOS Applications" 📱

Big news! (or at least for me 😬) I've decided to create my own take on an online course to show beginner and intermediate researchers how to reverse engineer iOS applications. This course is 100% free and open source!

Everything that I've accomplished so far in my professional career, since I made the move to app sec, has been possible because very talented people have shared their research, tools and tutorials online, most of them for free. For example, one of the very first steps anyone needs to perform to start RE iOS applications is jailbreak an iOS device and every single jailbreak tool I've used since iPhoneOS 3.0 (circa 2009) has been free.

Over the years, this let me to think that I needed to contribute back to this open community and started doing so by publishing tutorials on the topics I've been learning these past few years. But a recent conversation with a very good friend of mine who is a fantastic security engineer and a true inspiration, Kristina (@chmodxx_), gave me the idea on how to contribute back to the community in a bigger way. (You should also check Kristina's youtube channel for her mini-series on getting started with RE Android APKs and Malware). I've also been inspired by the work of Jonathan Levin (@morpheus______) and Patrick Wardle (@patrickwardle). Jonathan releases incredible tools, again, for free, he also wrote (or is writing) 3 books about macOS and iOS internals and in one of them he explains how almost all the jailbreaks in history worked, plus gives great explanations about the inner-workings of macOS and iOS. And Patrick created a number of macOS security applications to protect your Mac and, guess what?, they are also free, he also started to livestream on twitch while reversing malware or to present past conference talks.

All these amazing engineers and researchers and many more around the globe put a lot of effort, invest a lot of time and resources in creating their material and tools and releasing them so that the community can learn and they are making the world a safer place by doing so.

This is why I decided to create my own course which hopefully will help and inspire others to do the same. But without further ado, I present to you my course! 🎉
